Melbourne Polytechnic’s Auslan Video

In 2024, deafConnectEd and the Melbourne Polytechnic library began work on a project to create a resource explaining academic integrity to Deaf and Hard of Hearing TAFE students. This culminated in a video in Auslan created by the external, Deaf-led company Auslan Consultancy, scripted and filmed with Deaf and Hard of Hearing people in mind. Matthew (Auslan Consultancy), Joe (deafConnectEd), and Gillian (Melbourne Polytechnic Library) will talk about how the collaborative project came together.

Holmesglen’s LGBTIQA+ Resource Guide

Since 2024 the Library has worked with members of the Holmesglen Pride Network to build an inclusive space by promoting LGBTIQA+ resources and providing an online presence for the Holmesglen Pride Network. Naomi (Holmesglen Library) and Tess and Dom (Holmesglen Pride Network) will discuss the project and the importance of creating a safe, supportive and respectful TAFE environment through continued collaboration.
